I have compiled an album entitled Pictures Taken From Moving Vehicles and have posted here some of my favorites. The world goes by fast when you are traveling, take a piece of it with you forever and make sure you have a copilot to hold the wheel steady while making the shot! Above pic is heading from Dallas to Ft Worth July 2025.
Notice how the foreground is usually blurred as a result of traveling around 60mph. Things may have a blue cast or reflections and marks from the windows.
Sometimes the moment lasts a second, or less, like passing over a river. A river that forms the beginning of the greatest river system on the continent, the Missouri-Mississippi system.
Some views look across the ages as we imagine we are pioneers on the Oregon Trail reaching Vale, with hearts lifting, as we have finally reached the promised land.
We are small figures on a vast landscape. In our speed capsule we race across the landscap of emptiness.
Time rolls on and the landscape changes, what was one a solid foundation now crumbles into dust.
